We need to look at that young man's face, no matter how much it hurts. And it does hurt. And we should keep looking right at his face until the truth shows itself at last and we all start to ask Why, as you are doing. What a sad, sad waste of human life. I love this blog.
It was not a waste. Sgt German was doing what he loved for a nation he loved. Yes, it is tragic that he was injured and even more so that he has now passed, but his life was not wasted.
