The Tocks Island controversy has not lacked for attention from writers and filmmakers.
The hands-down best book on the project is Damming the Delaware: The Rise and Fall of the Tocks Island Dam by Richard C. Albert. A paperback version of the 1987 book is still in print.
In 2006, the brief documentaryControversy on the Delaware: A Look Upstream at Tocks Island premiered at a local film festival and is said to be available on DVD.
Ghost Waters, a far more ambitious documentary, is currently in production under the supervision of director Nick Patrick, who is relying on the generosity of strangers to complete production.
