After wiggling off the hook in one lawsuit, the thugs formerly known as Blackwater have settled out of court in a series of other suits in which dozens of Iraqis accused the company of cultivating a reckless culture that allowed innocent civilians to be killed.
The seven federal suits cited a pattern of illegal activity, including killings such as the 2007 shooting in Baghdad's Mansour Square that left 17 Iraqis dead. A separate suit against five Blackwater bodyguard involved in that incident had been dismissed on New Year's Eve.
Meanwhile, two Blackwater guards have been arrested by the FBI on charges they murder two Afghani civilians in May 2009.

Blackwater Wins One & Loses One

Another Epitaph on an Army of Mercenaries
It is a God-damned lie to say that these
Saved, or knew, anything worth any man's pride.
They were professional murderers and they took
Their blood money and impious risks and died.
In spite of all their kind some elements of worth
With difficulty persist here and there on earth.
Thanks for a National Victory
YE hypocrites! are these your pranks?
To murder men and give God thanks!
Desist, for shame! proceed no further;
God won’t accept your thanks for MURTHER!
