HBCUs: 'A Way Out Of No Way'

Spellman College's academic excellence is not enough for it -- and its students -- to weather these tough economic times.

Here's an inspiring take on Spellman and other historically black colleges and universities -- all of them historically underappreciated and undersupported -- that I can relate to as a staffer at an incredibly affluent university with a $1 billion-plus endowment and a grounds crew larger than Spellman's faculty.
