If you love the blues, as I certainly do, just about the only place to hear it on the radio is the left end of the dial -- typically home to university and other public radio stations.
A regular part of my blues staple for many years has been Jack Devaney's "Bluesology" show, which has been headquartered at the sublime KJAZ-FM at California State University Long Beach for the last 15 years and syndicated nationally on some of those left-end stations.
So the news that Jack is moving on is bittersweet. Bitter because I'll miss his wonderful song selection and knowledgeable commentary and sweet because he is answering the call of the Dominican Order of Priests and Brothers.
Jack's last show will be broadcast this Sunday at 5 p.m. EST on KJAZ and at other times throughout the Bluesology network. Click here to listen in.
