Great Art & What Lies Beneath

Scientists are now using an MRI-type device to delve beneath the surface of old-master and other paintings, writes Jennifer Ouellette at Cocktail Party Physics, which is one of my favorite blogs. This may be of particular help for art historians sleuthing for "The Battle of Anghiari," a long lost Leonardo DaVinci fresco depicted here in a drawing by Peter Paul Reubens.
