While we're on the subject of women and politics, kudos to Jenny Sanford for neither standing by her man or playing the violin over how she has been wronged.
At least I think the praise is deserved.
She is, of course, the wife of South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, whose puppy love (okay, they screwed a few times) for María Belén Chapur is so over the top that he seems like a mere babe in the woods compared to say, John Ensign or David Vitter.
Best of all, Mrs. Sanford is not self deceived as were Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Edwards, who worshiped at the altar of political prominence and power despite their husbands' own hikes on the Appalachian trail.
Mr. Sanford, of course, now has a snowball's chance in hell of becoming president, but maybe the missus could be elected First Lady.
