No Catfight References In This Post

Understanding that beyond a few upstate dairy farmers just about everybody who lives in New York is a carpetbagger, the tussle to fill Hillary Rodham Clinton's Senate seat was bound to be . . . uh, unusual.

There are reports that Caroline Kennedy is interested in being appointed, which is kinda interesting because the 51-year-old wife, mother of three, lawyer, writer, philanthropist and daughter of Jack and Jacqueline Kennedy is famously private, although she endorsed and vigorously campaigned for Barack Obama.

Then there is actress-comedienne Fran Drescher, who says she's qualified to replace Clinton because she is a political activist and public diplomacy envoy for women's health issues and just got back from a four-country European tour. She always says that she's "authentic and honest," which I don't doubt, but . . . Well, The Nanny was a pretty good show.
