The Best Music CDs of 2006

Citizen Cope
Wanna know what America is listening to that's not on the radio?

The listeners of WXPN-FM, a leading alternative music station, voted for their top 50 music CDs of 2006, very few of which can be heard on so-called mainstream stations.

Their top 10:

(10.) Supply and Demand (Amos Lee)
(9.) Broken Boy Soldiers (The Raconteurs)
(8.) Every Waking Moment (Citizen Cope)
(7.) Till the Sun Turns Black (Ray LaMontagne)
(6.) We Shall Overcome (Bruce Springsteen)
(5.) The Crane Wife (Decemberists)
(4.) The Information (Beck)
(3.) Eye to the Telescope (KT Tunstall)
(2.) St. Elsewhere (Gnarls Barkley)
(1.) Modern Times (Bob Dylan)

The DF&C and I agreed that our favorite was Citizen Cope's "Every Waking Moment."
