
In the meantime, I'll leave you with this lovely untitled woodcut by John DePol, who was the preeminent American practitioner of wood engraving before his passing at age 91 a year ago tomorrow. I had the honor of meeting Mr. DePol, who gifted his extensive collection to the rare book and manuscript library where I work.
