Is there a Trader Joe's near where you live? If so, you're probably sold on its limited but wonderful selection of mostly organic foods. The DF&C and I swear by their frozen gourmet goodies, which taste delish and don't cost and arm and a leg. And the (non-frozen) edamame hummus is to die for.
So it probably was inevitable that somebody would try to horn in on the franchise. But Gristedes? The once great small market chain apparently is behind a knockoff called Trader John's that imitates Joe's decor. And so in that great American tradition of free enterprise, Joe's is suing John's.
