As Bruce Falconer notes, the brass ring of presidential greatness is trying to bring peace to the Middle East. As Your Faithful Correspondent notes, George Bush has managed to not only bring war to the Middle East, but can't even be bothered to get involved in the current messiness in Gaza.
While we're on the subject, was this Palestinian child's life worth less because Hamas used his family as a human shield and then Israel bombed his Gaza City neighborhood back to the Stone Age?
You do the math.
And how about this for surreality: Israel halts its balls-out invasion to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza and then resumes the onslaught after said aid is delivered.
