Internet Radio Goes Prime Time

We became converts to Internet radio by necessity. Kiko’s House and our mountain hideaway are close enough to get FM signals from Philadelphia and New York, but only poorly with rooftop antennas and signal boosters.

But for a few well-spent ducats, we can webstream the great commercial-free programming from both markets – and anywhere else in the world – right into those rocking Bose speakers that keep whether at home and away.

We stream directly from computer to stereo through a gizmo costing less than $50 bucks, but there are now a wonderful array of stand-alone radios that get webcasts, even battery powered models to take to the beach – if it is a WiFi-enabled beach.
More here.
