In a ruling that pits me against myself (as in gay rights vs. military recruiting rights, two things that I happen to feel pretty strongly about), the Supreme Court today upheld the Pentagon's right to recruit on college campuses that accept federal funds even if those schools oppose its policy of barring openly gay people from the armed services.
The unanimous ruling, written by Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., settles a clash between the use of taxpayer money and free speech. For more, go here.
