McCain-Palin Trainwreck Excuse du Jour

Sixth in a series on the best
excuses for the GOP disaster
Robert Duvall is angry and he's not going to take it any more. The legendary actor had this to say at a recent fundraiser before introducing the Sarahcudda:
"It bothers me that certain people in the Republican Party are attacking the McCain-Palin ticket, like super-nerd George . . . What's his name?"
Several people in the audience shouted out "George Will!"

Duvall then went after the traitorous a certain former Wisconsin governor who has made no secret of his unhappiness with the McCain campaign:
"Tommy Thompson of uh, that original block of wood, from Wisconsin. He attacked the team today. I mean, that's like being, instead of Monday morning quarterbacking, it's during the game. It's Friday and Saturday night quarterbacking. It's like giving credence to the other side."
