About Me
Shaun Mullen was born to blog. It just took a few years for the medium to catch up to the messenger. Over a long career with newspapers, this award-winning editor and reporter covered the Vietnam War, O.J. Simpson trials, Clinton impeachment circus and coming of Osama bin Laden, among many other big stories. He also is guest contributor at AGORAVOX and OPINION EDITORIAL, and author of the forthcoming book THE BOTTOM OF THE FOX: A TRUE STORY OF LOVE, DEVOTION & COLD-BLOODED MURDER. By the way, the lovely woman in the photo is the Dear Friend and Conscience.

We need to look at that young man's face, no matter how much it hurts. And it does hurt.
And we should keep looking right at his face until the truth shows itself at last and we all start to ask Why, as you are doing.
What a sad, sad waste of human life.
I love this blog.
It was not a waste. Sgt German was doing what he loved for a nation he loved. Yes, it is tragic that he was injured and even more so that he has now passed, but his life was not wasted.
