
The fires has not even been extinguished at Pearl Harbor some 69 years ago today when stories began circulating among U.S. troops of a woman they called "Tokyo Rose," a siren of the Pacific who called out to lonely servicemen in a sultry voice on Japanese radio stations, usually foretelling their demise.
