The Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor is as ubiquitous as McDonald's restaurants on America's highways and byways.
Mind you that the Crown Vic won the hearts of smokies from coast to coast because it was the last suitably big car made by the Big Two and a Half, but cops also love 'em because they're roomy, safe, the column shift enables them to easily stash a shotgun . . . oh, and they're fast.
So why is Ford thinking of killing them off?
