New Meaning For Focus On The Family

Those rabid folks at James Dobson's Focus on the Family are fond of calling gays perverts, so what does that make Juan Alberto Ovalle, who was slapped with two felony charges of attempted sexual assault on a child and Internet luring after propositioning a district attorney investigator he believed to be a 15-year-old girl?

Ovalle, 42, who narrates "a popular audio version of the Bible in Spanish" and produces a radio program for Focus on the Family, according to the
organization, presumably was not using its guidelines on how to talk to teenagers when he did his thing.

Attempted rape is no laughing matter, but Roy Edroso at the Village Voice has a drop-dead funny list of top excuses used by Christian child molestors. The first:

He was casting the Biblical story of Judith, and wanted to see if the girl would try to kill him before he had sex with her.
