Nah. Philosophy Ain't Dead, Bucko

NYTimes maven David Brooks, to some acclaim and not a little criticism, has announced the end of philosophy in an eponymously headlined column.
I happen to think that he's full of spit, and this was borne out by a coincidental but so satisfying viewing of The Petrified Forest. I have seen this timeless 1936 Trevor Howard-Bette Davis-Humphrey Bogart classic a zillion times and it never ceases to surprise me what incredible philosophes this hobo, waitress and bank robber are.
Check it out and you'll see what I mean.
