Dear Bill Gates: May You Rot In Heck

I am fond of saying that if Bill Gates made cars he'd be bankrupt because they'd all be broken down given. This is because of the predilection of Microsoft to take fairly simple and smoothly operating software and render less useable with each succeeding update.

So it is with Word 2007, which came bundled with the new computers they're installing where I work. The old Word was user friendly and fairly intuitive, while the new edition is an eye-crossing riot of options that not even most geeks would use, has a worthless Help feature and worst of all has buried the options that I use most frequently.

Incidentally, our new computers have the older Microsoft NT operating system and not the new Vista, a widely disparaged piece of crap.
