Why are black Americans so detached from the genocide going on in the Darfur region of Sudan? Or is that a stupid question -- or possibly even a racist one -- considering that white Americans are detached from pretty much everything?
Well, I think it's fair to ask, although answers are elusive, as reporter Ervin Dyer notes in this Pittsburgh (Pa.) Post-Gazette story.
