Heroic Comeback du Jour on the War

In a miracle of sorts, ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff is back on the air a year and a half after he nearly died when a roadside explosion in Iraq littered his brain with shrapnel and other debris.

Woodruff still isn’t doing live reports because he sometimes confuses or struggles to find words. But in addition to his comeback he has embarked on a second career of a sort as a spokesman and fundraiser for soldiers with severe injuries, especially head traumas like his own.
