I grew up with the Oliphant cartoons in the Washington Post. I tell everyone that cutting my teeth on the Post (it was my hometown paper afterall) made me what I am today. I have deep sorrow for the dying newspaper industry today. Once the papers die life will never be the same. I miss The Post as I moved from the DC area several years ago. Can read it online but it's just not the same. Sigh
