Defeatism Rears Its Fugly Head. Again.

So President Obama, looking for ways to jump-start the economy and create new jobs, is proposing an ambitious plan to rebuild and modernize the nation’s roads, rail and airport runways — not dissimilar to what I advocated here -- and the reaction ranges from practiced yawns to "It'll never works."
