If you know a veteran whose efforts to receive disability benefits for post traumatic stress disorder were rejected by the VA, please urge he or she to try again.
The Obama administration has swept away the impossibly high burden-of-proof standards previously required to even begin to qualify for PTSD disability and replaced them with sensible standards.
If that vet is a woman, it is especially important that she try again. This is because women technically are not allowed to serve in front-line roles and have been routinely rejected even if they were medics and others whose experiences could be as traumatic as an infantryman.
