Is Terry Gilliam's Time Bandits (1981) in which a young boy accidentally joins a band of dwarfs as they jump from time period to time period looking for treasure to steal. The stellar cast includes John Cleese as Robin Hood, Sean Connery as King Agamemnon, Iam Holm as Napoleon, Shelly Duvall as Dame Pansy, and Ralph Richardson as The Supreme Being.
