Curt Schilling, the hard throwing right hander (get it?) late of the Phillies, Diamondbacks and most recently the Red Sox, has done democracy a huge favor by deciding not to run for Ted Kennedy's Senate seat.
Schilling is only slightly less crazy than Jim Bunning, the only former MLB pitcher currently serving in the Greatest Deliberative Body in the World.
My suspicion is that both inhaled too much rosin dust.
