Why Do Some Conservatives . . .

. . . get all weirded out when people pronounce Sonia Sotomayor's surname as it is supposed to be pronounced (so-toe-my-YORE) or when President Obama says bonjour in response to a question from a French journalist or shukran, which is "thank you" in Arabic, in response to remarks by Saudi Arabian King Abdullah on his current Middle East trip?

My theory is that these people are deeply insecure, and anything that isn't white bread is a threat to their widdle existences.

Oh, and by the by, President Bush said shukran late last year right before someone threw a shoe at him in Baghdad.
