After putting a book project aside for three or so years to concentrate on blogging, I'm back in the chase and the finish line is coming into view. Wa-hoo!
The world needs another book about an unsolved murder like Barack Obama needs another war, but I am just vain enough to think that mine will be sufficiently different to justify the effort. In the meantime, I'll be cutting back on the quantity -- as in fewer posts in general and Quotes From Around the Blogosphere in particular -- but hopefully not the quality.
I plan to self publish, so if any of you have experience with Web and books-on-demand publishing, drop me a note.-- Love and Peace, SHAUN

Why self-publish?
Because I refuse to jump through New York publisher hoops. Because I want to have a modicum of creative control, including use of images and design. Because, as I noted, the world does not need another book about an unsolved murder and I'd rather drum up interest with online and self-published editions -- if there is indeed interest.
Annie Gottlieb at Ambivablog.typepad.com has some experience with self-publishing. You might talk to her: smart, former book reviewer, fact checker, editor, writer, all the good stuff. And good people, too.
Thank you, kind sir. I shall.
