How big of a hash has the U.S. made of its so-called fight against Al Qaeda? It's pretty much been a total mess, and it's a lead pipe cinch that George Bush will head back to Texas with the terrorist organization rebuilt and relocated in Pakistan with Osama bin Laden still at the helm.
But no matter, the people who attacked us on 9/11 were located in Iraq anyhow, right? And things are going so swimmingly there that we're getting ready to declare war on its neighbor, Iran, right?.
Meanwhile, The New York Times reports that Bush administration officials finally gave the green light last year to a secret plan to make it easier for Pentagon Special Ops forces to launch missions into the mountainous tribal areas of western Pakistan to capture or kill The Bearded One and other AG bigs, but the mission has been bogged down by missteps and policy disagreements.
