Dr. E, who happens to be a dear friend and fellow blogger, wears an extraordinary number of hats with grace: They include working as a post-trauma psychoanalyst and cantadora (keeper of the old stories) and being prolific author, including the feminist classic Women Who Run With the Wolves.
Her latest gig is El Rio Abajo Rio (The River Beneath the River), a weekly column in the online edition of the National Catholic Reporter. You can sign up for email alerts from NCR every time a new column is posted. Do it.
Dr. E's debut column is "The Babushka Brigade: What Old Believers Say About Torture of Human Beings," a typically artful mix of story telling and philosophizing that is both deeply personal and profoundly contemporary.
is this her?
ReplyDeleteive read books but never seen her picture :)
It is indeed her,
ReplyDeleteI have used her book, which we call "The Wolf Book", for decades with women's groups I call "Soul Groups". By doing so, I have learned the power of story as a tool for healing work and now I have written my own book to use in that same vein. Thanks to Clarissa, I prepare to launch my book: Lillie's Redemption in 2 months.
