With three regular season games to go, the Fightin' Blue Hen is on a pace to set an all-time TD record as Delaware, a perennial powerhouse, takes another step today toward its second national championship in five years and seventh overall.
College football aficionados will notice the similarity between Delaware's "winged" helmets and those worn by the University of Michigan and Princeton. Here's the story.

Why did the Hens borrow the UofM Wolverines helmet design?
They didn't borrow it. Their longtime head coach, who was a star at Michigan, brough the design with him when he came to Delaware.
