Beautiful Photograph du Jour

"AFRICA"
By Shaun Mullen
Once upon a time, Yours Truly would camp in a secluded part of the Lower Florida Keys that my friends and I called "Africa."
"Africa" was an interlocking series of mangrove lagoons surrounded by a forest filled with reflex air plants and other sub-tropical flora. Its entrance was blocked by an off-putting garbage dump atop which sat the rusted hulk of a 1950s-era Chevrolet, so our sanctuary was not visible from the nearest road. This afforded us undisturbed sunning and snorkling in the lagoons, which were rich with barracuda, octopus, sergeant major fish and other critters.

We minded our business and the critters theirs, and everyone got alone splendidly.
