Who woulda thunk it!Anyhow, the good burghers at Scholars & Rogues tagged Kiko's House after they received the award, which means that by custom it's our turn to tag five other blogs that we deem to be worthies.
Those blogs are (drum roll please!):
Debsweb is a delightfully quirky blog written by, uh . . . Deb that covers the gamut from politix to kelture and health and nutrition. She is a woman of few words, but packs a lot into each post.
Done With Mirrors is an edgy, self-effacing political and current affairs blog that like Debsweb doesn't get all caught up with the sound of its own voices. Which is to say the posts are short and to the point. The Un-Greenwald.
The Glittering Eye is an award-winng blog and a great example of how they can stay out ahead of big stories. In this instance, Dave Schuler has run circles around the mainstream media in pursuit of the tainted pet food recall scandal.
Make It Stop! Make It Stop! is a no-frills current affairs blog written with smarts and passion by Buckarooskidoo and LaPopessa. (How could they miss with names like that?)
Michael P.F. van der Galiën is an epononymous blog written by . . . okay, you can figure out who it's written by. Michael is a young Dutch blogger who is wise beyond his years, and while we lock horns from time to time his offshore take on American politics is always interesting.
A final word from your sponsor: Kiko's House has eschewed awards because we don't blog for the attention and certainly are not in it for the money. Hence no advertising or link to the Nieman Marcus wedding registry.
But we're making an exception here because unlike most awards, the Thinking Blogger Award is mercifully apolitical, and as anyone who has read Kiko's House knows, we diss everyone regardless of their political persuasion.
