Middle East blogger Michael J. Totten is back in Iraq and is currently ensconced in the Green Zone. Conservative bloggers, desperate for good news, are extensively linking to his dispatches.

The reason is reports like this one:

"After having spent several days Baghdad’s Green Zone and Red Zone, I still haven’t heard or seen any explosions. It’s a peculiar war. It is almost a not-war."

So there you have it: Michael Totten is America’s secret weapon in Iraq, because no matter where he goes in Iraq, it’s all good.
