So there I was sticking pins in my Ann Coulter voodoo doll when I had a catharsis:Conservatism is on the ropes these days in America, but still has a ways to fall before it hits bottom. Coulter has done the movement an enormous favor by giving it a big shove.True-blooded conservatives -- not the wingnuts like Coulter who hijacked the Republican Party -- owe her an enormous debt, and there are encouraging signs that it's payback time.

No, Coulter's invective is a sign of fear. "Faggot" is a fear word. They know they got bupkus for 08 presidential candidates. They also know they're gonna take another hit in Congress. That'll leave only the Senate in play for a coupla cycles.
If you're a conservative, that's gotta suck. So, out come the nya nya words. Coulter has but fired the starting gun. Sometime next year, when the GOP is eating its young, we'll really hear some invective. This ain't nothin.
