Kiko's House Mid-Winter Bird Census

A MALE RED-BREASTED WOODPECKER IN FLIGHT
Let's fuggedabout the world's problems for a moment and turn to the scene outside Kiko's House, where birds of many a feather are flocking together in the waning weeks of winter. Herewith our second annual census census:

Main Feeder Birds
Red-winged blackbird, house finch, purple finch, pine siskin, house sparrow, white-throated sparrow, house wren, Carolina wren.

Suet Feeder Birds
Black-capped chickadee, white-breasted nuthatch, tufted titmouse, downy woodpecker, red-bellied woodpecker, common flicker.

Ground Feeding Birds
Northern cardinal, American crow, mourning dove, common grackle, blue jay, slate junco, American robin, European startling.

Neighborhood & Area Birds
Northern mockingbird, gray catbird, cattle egret, little blue heron, Canada goose, snow goose, black-backed gull, red-tailed hawk, barred owl, barn owl, American kestrel, ring-necked pheasant, common bobwhite, mallard, wood duck, Baltimore oriole, Eastern bluebird.
