One of the joys of driving or walking around Philadephia is turning a corner and coming upon one of the city's many beautiful murals like this one, titled "Common Threads," which is on the side of a building in Center City.
The mural is a result of the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, which was started in 1984 as a component of the the Anti-Graffiti Network, a city-wide initiative to eradicate destructive graffiti and address neighborhood blight, and has being going great guns ever since.
