Nice Photograph du Jour

The peacock is a glorious bird and the friend who took this close-up photograph of an "eye" feather and Your Faithful Correspondent have something in common -- we both lived with peacocks for many years.

My friend's peacock is Solo Sillybird, who presides over a flock of domestic fowl and a few kitties. I lived with Percy, a watch bird extraordinaire who had the run of our farm and used to nest in a tree outside my bedroom window at night.
