While my views may not always mesh with yours, I don't think that I'm being idealist. In fact, I'm taking it as a bit of a slight (like I'm a cute 8-year old with "perfect world" suggestions). How about, "my son and I have differing views" instead? For my part, I believe I'm being pretty pragmatic.
If you want to think that you're being pragmatic by suggesting that the Democrats lurk in the tall grass until they can take a shot with their pop gun at a passing Republican elephant, you go right ahead.
I won't say "I told you so" after the election. Okay, so I said it.
