Condomning Absintence Programs

While I do not object to sexual abstinence programs in principle, I do believe that predicating government funding on abstinence-only programs as the Bush administration has done is shortsighted to the point of criminality.

Human nature is what it is. It cannot be wished or prayed away. Abstinance simply is not an alternative for many people, too many of whom have unwanted pregnancies or contract STDs or worse.
