Gratuitous Kitty Shot of the Week

Panda was a big galoot of a kitty with the demeanor of a Buddha and a coat so thick that you could lose a catnip mouse in it. Kiko, namesake of Kiko's House, was mentored by the ever patient Panda as a little kitty, which may help explain her beatific disposition.

That's Panda at the feet of the Dear Friend & Conscience and Kiko at her side in this 1998 photograph. Panda went to the Big Catbox in the Sky in 2002 at age 10, while Kiko is now a matronly nine years old.
