An Update on Homeland Insecurity

Do we really need to be further reminded that the Bush administration's "efforts" to make the homeland more secure in the wake of 9/11 have been a big fat joke?

Not really, but I nevertheless was stopped by news stories over the weekend that guards at Homeland Security Department headquarters in Washington, D.C., were so concerned about the state of security there and the apparent unwilliness of their supervisors to take their concerns seriously that they have gone to Congress.

The Associated Press has the story here.
